A Giant Box

One day the UPS truck came by and dropped off this gigantic box at my doorstep, and when I looked at who it’s for I got really excited. You know why? It had my name on it! Then I started wondering what was in it. Would it be a car? Would it be a giant stuffed animal? I didn’t know what was in it. I hoped it would be something good. Then I remembered my birthday was in 2 whole weeks.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I yelled. Then my Mom came in the room.

“What are you yelling about,” my Mom asked. Then she saw the package in the window. “Oh, that’s what you’re yelling about. Oh well, you’ll have to wait 2 weeks. I think it’s from your Grandma.”

Uh oh, I thought. I hope it’s not a mile long scarf.

After 2 weeks finally it was my birthday. I was waiting for what seemed like 1,000,000,000 years but was actually just 2 weeks. When it was time to open the giant, ginormous, big box I looked in it guess what was in it. It was a giant box full of laundry.  Then my parents started laughing.

“That’s not the actual present. Look further into the box.” They both said at the same time. Creepy. I looked further and further and further into the box. There wasn’t anything in the box. When I got to the bottom there was a little frisbee and a Yo-Yo.

” That’s it?” I asked. The last present I opened was tiny. When I opened that one, there was so much things in it. That was the weirdest birthday I had ever had.
